chicken thanduri
ingredients
- Chicken leg pieces - 1/2 kg
- Ginger - 25 gm(chopped)
- Garlic - 15 cloves (chopped)
- Salt to taste
- Raw papaya - 1 small piece
- Lemon juice - 1 tsp or curd - 1 tsp.
- Chilly powder - 1/2 tsp
- Thanduri colour powder - 1/4 tsp.
- Ghee - 1tsp
Method of preparation
- Grind the ginger, garlic and papaya pieces into smooth paste.
- Mix the chilly powder, thanduri colour and lemon juice or curd to the ground paste.
- Soak the chicken pieces in 1 tsp. of curd for half an hour and wash with soft water.
- Now add the prepared masala, salt and ghee to the chicken pieces and soak for 2 hours.
- After 2 hours take a pan and pour 1/4 litre of vegetable oil.
- After the oil gets heated put the chicken pieces one by one or four pieces at a time.
- Fry the chicken pieces until brown colour exists.
- Now serve hot with chopped onions.
