vegetable kurma
for masala
- Green chillies - 2
- Ginger - a bit
- Coriander leaves - 1 small bundle
- Garlic - 6 cloves
- Coriander seeds - 1/2 tsp.
- Coconut grated - 4 tsp.
- Sombu - 1/2 tsp

INGREDIENTS
- Carrot - 1
- Potato - 2
- Beans - 4
- Peas - 1 handful
- Onion - 1 big
- Curd - 2 to 3 tbl. sp.
- Salt - 1 and a half tsp
- Cloves - 2
- Cardomom -2
- Cinnamon - 2 sticks.

METHOD OF PREPARATION

Grind the masala ingredients (given above) into a smooth paste. Cook the vegetables with minimum water. In a frying pan, add 2 tsp. of ghee. Fry the cinnamon, cloves and powdered cardomom well and then fry chopped onion.Add the ground masala, fry well and then 1/2 cup of water and salt. |
Stir well and simmer for few minutes. Add to it the vegetables. Mix well. Remove from the fire after 10 minutes.
This vegetable kurma can be served as a side dish for idlli, dosa, chappathi, poori and also for tomato rice, vegetable rice, coconut rice, fried rice etc.
